Operating in collaboration with Imagine!’s Core Labor Source division (CLS), the goal of Boulder Treasures’ Apprenticeship Program is to become a trusted source of skilled, enthusiastic and reliable employees for Boulder area employers. Our training program helps participants develop successful work habits, attitudes, and skills, making a significant difference in their preparation and readiness for permanent employment in Boulder’s competitive job market.
While participating in our training program, apprentices will be monitored to determine the types of jobs for which they are best suited, so the employers can know upfront if a particular apprentice is well matched to the requirements of a specific job. Once hired into a permanent position, employees will be supported with additional training and their progress monitored. Their accompanying job coach will identify areas of needed improvement, and focus additional mentoring on these issues until the employee masters the job. Throughout this effort, CLS job coaches will work with the employer to establish clear expectations of performance. All of these programs can be made available to an employer at no cost. CLS’s job coaches can also help determine if an employer might qualify for additional financial incentives, such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit offered through the Department of Labor.
